A place we know

Years spent living in China and connections with Yangshuo’s climbing community bring a personal side to the trip: local knowledge, familiar faces and time to settle in.

Your climbing, your goals

From routes around French 5a to elite projects around 9a, the area offers a broad range of climbing. We select suitable sectors for your level; you do not need to climb hard to join.

Less moving, more climbing

No overnight stop in Guilin. Eleven nights based in Yangshuo give us room to try routes, return to projects and take proper rest days, with one final night in Hong Kong.

The plan, kept simple

Find your rhythm.
Stay for the climbing.

A longer base in Yangshuo, with climbing days, two flexible rest days and a short Hong Kong finale.

The 14-day travel calendar includes the outbound international journey on day 1. Accommodation runs from day 2 to day 13: 11 nights in Yangshuo and one in Hong Kong.

Flights are booked separately. Arrival times must allow the onward journey to Yangshuo on day 2. Check the proposed flights and meeting time with us before purchasing tickets.

This is an indicative itinerary. Transport connections, crags and the order of activities will be confirmed for each departure.

  1. DAY 1

    Your journey to China

Outbound international travel, arranged separately. The reference schedule assumes an overnight journey arriving the following day; no hotel night is included on day 1.

  2. DAY 2

    Straight to Yangshuo

Meet at the agreed arrival point in Hong Kong and continue towards Yangshuo by scheduled rail and road connections. No overnight stop in Guilin. Check-in, a shared meal and time to recover.

  3. DAYS 3–5

    Get to know the limestone

Three climbing days to discover the area and find your rhythm. Suitable sectors may include Swiss Cheese or Dragon City, with routes selected around the group’s experience.

  4. DAY 6

    Rest, rivers and village life

Rest completely or choose an optional countryside bike ride, riverside walk or local food experience. Extra activities are arranged and quoted separately.

  5. DAYS 7–9

New sectors or your next project

Three more climbing days. Explore different styles or return to a route you want to work on. White Mountain and Leipi Shan are possibilities for suitably experienced climbers, subject to access and conditions.

  6. DAY 10

    Xingping or a slower day

A second flexible rest day. Optional plans include Xingping and its river scenery, a locally arranged cave visit or a kayak outing on an authorised river section. You can also stay in Yangshuo and rest.

  7. DAYS 11–12

    Final climbing days

Two days for favourite sectors, unfinished projects and a final session together. We adjust the intensity to the group’s energy and conditions.

  8. DAY 13

    Back to Hong Kong

Scheduled transfer and rail connections to Hong Kong. One final hotel night, with time to enjoy the city according to arrival time.

  9. DAY 14

    Farewell and onward travel

Departure from Hong Kong at the agreed time. International flights are not included; the date of arrival home depends on your chosen flight.

Between climbing days

Rest your fingers.
Discover Yangshuo.

Cycle through the countryside

Quiet village roads, fields and karst scenery around the Yulong River valley. Choose a gentle outing or a longer ride, depending on the group.

Explore from the water

A kayak outing can be arranged with a local provider on a suitable, authorised river section, subject to water levels, weather and availability.

Xingping and the Li River

Explore the old town, riverside scenery and nearby viewpoints. Walking routes and transport are selected according to access, conditions and how active you want the day to be.

Discover the caves

Ask about a locally guided cave visit in the Yangshuo–Xingping area. The specific cave, access arrangements and level of activity are agreed before booking the excursion.

Share the local flavours

Noodles, markets and meals around a shared table. For something more hands-on, ask about a cooking class or a food-focused outing.

Do less, enjoy more

A slow morning, a café, a riverside stroll or an optional evening performance such as Impression Sanjie Liu. Rest days can simply be rest days.

These are optional suggestions, not a fixed list of included excursions. Prices, providers, access and availability are confirmed in advance. Extra activities should leave you rested for the next climbing day.

Climbing courses · Private groups

Want to learn
or take the next step?

The standard departure is designed for people with previous climbing experience. For private or dedicated groups, we can arrange an introductory climbing programme, a course in lead climbing or technical sessions tailored to your goals.

Instruction, belaying practice, movement and route tactics can be discussed in advance. Teaching is organised with appropriately qualified instructors and suitable group ratios. Course content, equipment, duration and price are quoted separately.

Tell us what you already do independently and what you would like to learn. We will recommend a suitable format before you book.

Before you travel

The essentials, made clear.

What climbing level do I need?

The standard trip is for people with previous climbing experience and basic independence outdoors: belaying, checking equipment and understanding their limits. You do not need to climb advanced grades. We discuss your experience and goals before confirming your place and select suitable sectors and climbing partners.

Yangshuo offers routes across a broad range of grades, from around French 5a to elite projects around 9a. That describes the destination’s range, not a promise that every grade or sector will feature in the group itinerary.

Can beginners join or can I learn to lead climb?

Introductory climbing, lead-climbing courses and tailored technical sessions can be organised for dedicated groups or as separately agreed instruction. These require an appropriate programme, instructor and group ratio. Please contact us before booking; the standard departure is not a beginner’s course.

Which crags will we visit?

Possible sectors include Swiss Cheese, Dragon City, White Mountain and Leipi Shan. The final selection depends on group ability, weather, current access and local advice. We can revisit sectors so that you have time to work on projects. Moon Hill visits or climbing are subject to current access arrangements and are not guaranteed.

How do 14 days and 12 nights fit together?

The reference calendar counts day 1 as outbound international travel, with arrival on day 2. The 12 included hotel nights run from day 2 to day 13: 11 nights in Yangshuo and one in Hong Kong. Day 14 is the departure day from Hong Kong. International flights are booked separately; overnight flights are not accommodation supplied by Easy Adventurs.

If you are already in Asia or need a different flight schedule, contact us to coordinate your joining arrangements. Additional nights or transfers are quoted separately.

Do we stay in Guilin or Shenzhen?

No overnight stay in Guilin or Shenzhen is planned. On arrival, we continue towards Yangshuo using the rail station and road connections best suited to the confirmed schedule. The exact arrival point, train connections and meeting time will be agreed before you purchase flights.

What happens on rest days?

You can rest completely or choose an optional excursion: countryside cycling, Xingping, a riverside walk, kayaking, a cave visit or a local food experience. Activities depend on access, conditions and provider availability. Optional excursions are quoted separately unless your departure programme expressly includes them.

What equipment should I bring?

We will send an equipment list before travel and agree which personal and shared items you need. Tell us your rental requirements early. Equipment hire and technical instruction are not automatically included and will be quoted before booking.

What insurance is included?

Travel insurance is included, subject to its terms and exclusions. Sport climbing requires specific activity coverage; we will confirm the necessary cover and any applicable supplement before booking. Do not assume a standard travel policy covers climbing. Cancellation insurance is optional and is not included by default.

When is the departure confirmed?

Both departures are currently forming a group, with a minimum of 8 travellers. We aim to confirm or cancel at least 60 days before the trip begins. If Easy Adventurs cancels the departure, payments made to us for the trip will be refunded. Please wait for our written departure confirmation before buying non-refundable international flights.

How do I book and pay?

Choose your dates and complete the corresponding English booking form. The deposit is €350 per person, deducted from the total price of €1,790. The remaining balance of €1,440 per person is due 30 calendar days before departure. Optional supplements are agreed separately. Your booking is subject to written confirmation and the Terms and Conditions.

What travel documents do I need?

Requirements depend on your nationality and travel arrangements, including entry to mainland China and Hong Kong. Check the applicable official requirements before booking and again before departure. We can help you identify the information relevant to the agreed itinerary.

Can you organise other dates or a private group?

Yes. We can arrange longer climbing stays, private groups and programmes with dedicated instruction or additional sightseeing. Tell us your group size, experience and preferred dates. Itinerary and price are quoted on request.
